The registered nurse license of Dean De Mulling (RN00085868) has been immediately suspended by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission and state Department of Health.

De Mulling cannot practice nursing in Washington until the charges are resolved. He has 20 days to respond to the charges and request a hearing.

The statement of charges says De Mulling made sexual statements and had nonconsensual physical contact with four co-workers, which continued after he was told to stop on two occasions. De Mulling also refused to help one of the co-workers with patients. He’s currently on probation after findings of sexual misconduct with female patients in 2004.

Legal documents are online; click “Provider Credential Search” on the agency’s home page (www.doh.wa.gov). Anyone who believes a health care provider acted unprofessionally is encouraged to call 360-236-4700 to report their complaint.

The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission protects public health and safety in Washington. The commission licenses and disciplines nurses using standards of practice.
