Community Activities

During the summer of 2007, Lithia maintains a robust schedule of community activities.

The warm weather has arrived and Lithia of Omaha is revving up its efforts to support the community. Whether you walk, run or drive, Lithia is partnering with Omaha's favorite community events.

Run, Walk -- Lithia of Omaha has signed on as a gold sponsor for the first annual, "Janice's Walk for the Whisper," June 9th at Zorinsky Lake. Janice's Walk for the Whisper is a non profit organization hoping to raise funds and awareness for ovarian cancer. The family-friendly event will include education about ovarian cancer, a memorial wall, and survivor activities, as well as a 10K run, 4.2 and 1 mile walks. Lithia of Omaha is working closely with the event organizers and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Inc. (NOCC) to maximize the potential and participation in this first time event.

Drive -- Lithia of Omaha will join parade-goers throughout Omaha's spring and summer festivities. Over the next few months Lithia of Omaha will be participating in two of Omaha's best known and most loved parades:

- South Omaha Cinco de Mayo Parade on Saturday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m.

- Ralston 4th of July Parade on Wednesday, July 4 at 1:00 p.m.

Other -- Lithia of Omaha is also participating in this year's Lee National Denim Days in September 2007. The Denim Day fundraising method will be conducted at all three Lithia of Omaha stores in July for Muscular Dystrophy Association and November for the Omaha Food Bank.

Lithia Motors and Lithia of Omaha strongly support local activities in all the communities where Lithia operates dealerships. "We believe giving back to the community is both a responsibility and a privilege," said Brian Cueny, general manager of Lithia of Omaha. "It's good for business and it's the right thing to do. It's what makes Lithia - Lithia."
