Weight Watchers issued a recall of their Hungry Figures and Hungry Magnets. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Weight Watchers, NY are collaborating to get the word out that sewing needles have been found in the stuffing of the Weight Watcher Hungry Figures that could result in a puncture wound.

Simplicity bassinets were recalled August 2008. The US Product Safety Commission is reissuing a warning because of two more deaths associated with the bassinets. The recall of the Simplicity bassinets followed the strangulation death of a 5 month old baby girl when she was caught between the bassinet’s metal bars. The recall involved convertible “close-sleeper/bedside sleeper” bassinets manufactured by Simplicity Inc.
