Weight-conscious members of Sam's Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., can now purchase Dr. Sanford Siegal's popular hunger-satisfying cookies online.

Dr. Siegal's Direct Nutritionals, LLC, who distributes Dr. Siegal's COOKIE DIET® products worldwide, announced the partnership in November. The flavors available are chocolate, oatmeal raisin, banana, coconut, and blueberry. As of today, a box of 7 re-sealable bags containing 6 cookies each (a one week supply) sells for $57.88 and shipping is included to the 48 contiguous states. Estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 days.

Dr. Siegal, DO, MD, has been baking the cookies in his private bakery for 35 years. The cookies contain a secret protein formula which satisfies hunger in few calories, causing the dieter to eat less and lose weight.

According to Dr. Siegal’s official diet website at www.cookiediet.com, 6 cookies are eaten each day to replace breakfast and lunch and as needed to control hunger in the first phase. The six cookies contain about 500 calories. A “reasonable dinner” should be eaten that contains no more than 500 calories. Phase one lasts 28 days.

In stages 2 and 3, the website has weight loss goal calculators, sample menus, and a maintenance plan. You must be a member of the website to access the information, but membership is free.

In addition to the cookies, Dr. Siegal also offers hunger-controlling diet shake mixes, nutritional supplements, green tea, and Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet Book.
