Indiana INDOT Stimulus Plan Is Ready

Governor Mitch Daniels said today the Indiana Department of Transportation's (INDOT) plan for distribution of Indiana's $658 million share of federal economic stimulus funds for highway infrastructure among state and local projects is nearing completion.

In addition, the governor said INDOT has identified and released its second list of state projects for bid that will use federal stimulus dollars. The list includes 29 projects in 21 counties valued at $43.6 million. The first list included 26 projects with a value of approximately $39 million.

Marion County Offers Free Health Insurance Information

Covering Kids and Families of Central Indiana will answer questions and enroll eligible children and adults needing health insurance at the east and west WorkOne locations during Cover the Uninsured Week, March 22-28.

Staff from the Covering Kids and Families program will be at the WorkOne location at 2525 North Shadeland Avenue March 24 from 8:30 a.m. thru 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Staff will be at the Work Force One location at 805 Beachway Drive on March 26 from 8:30 until 11:30 and from 1 p.m. to 3:30.
