New HealthAffairs issue examines rising health care costs.

• January/February 2008 Issue, Health Affairs: The latest issue of Health Affairs examines rising out-of-pocket health care expenses and the growing role of public coverage in the U.S. The issue includes articles about the increasing number of families who rely on public health coverage, as well as the financial burden that many U.S. families face as health insurance premiums and spending continue to increase (Health Affairs release, 1/8).
• Updated fact sheets, Kaiser Family Foundation: The Kaiser Family Foundation has released two updated fact sheets that provide the most current information and data on health insurance coverage for women ages 18 to 64. The Women's Health Insurance Coverage fact sheet provides new statistics on health coverage and describes the major sources of health insurance for nonelderly adult women. The fact sheet also summarizes the major policy challenges women face in obtaining health coverage. The other fact sheet, Health Insurance Coverage of Women by State, provides state-by-state data on the uninsured rate, as well as rates of private insurance and Medicaid coverage (Kaiser Family Foundation release, 1/9).
